Katy Blackwood is a photographer, writer and bundle of red hair based in Sheffield in the United Kingdom. She specialises in music photography. She’s also the editor of online music publication FEISTY.
A passionate believer in the value of high-quality photography in music, her striking style is pin sharp and colourful. She travels the UK to shoot live music, of-the-moment portraits, editorials, and close-knit documentary work.

Beyond music, Katy has dabbled in press photography, covering politics, demonstrations, showbiz and sport. Her archives are represented by WENN/Cover Images and RMV (distribution via Rex Features).
Also a competent writer, Katy launched FEISTY Magazine in January 2017 and remains the editor today, producing the vast majority of content. She’s also freelanced as a writer for newspapers, magazines and blogs.
On a personal level, Katy straddles the line between Millennial and Gen Z, and adores a wide range of music, including buzz indie, electropop and alt-pop, dream pop, shoegaze, nu-punk and new wave. Her personal listening is tracked publicly via Last.fm.
